Fiona Haftani ran for MLA in the Waverley riding. Shot promotional candidate video, wrote news releases, and promoted her campaign on social media. 

Kookum's Pantry
Concept, Execution & Administration

Kookum's Pantry is a Winnipeg indigenous baking and retail operation offering fresh-cooked bannock, Saskatoon berry jam, and moccasins and mukluks. The business is currently running in Winnipeg with great success.

OnTheStep
Media Relations and Partnership

OnTheStep is a brilliant app created by two university students in Winnipeg, MB. We helped them with earned media through news releases and radio interviews during their initial launch, which was a great success. Hire A Refugee partnered with the app to help provide groups of reliable new Canadians to work with the app and perform the shoveling. The shovelers made lots of money and were quite happy, while the owners of the app saw big success as well.

We put together a strong application package for The Stak Co when applying for the Women's Entrepreneurship Strategy program from the Canadian Federal Government.

Concept, Execution & Administration

Hire A Refugee is a local initiative started by RDA Consulting in conjunction with LAI Group, to help generate work for refugees and other newcomers to Winnipeg. It has, so far, been a massive success, generating regular media relations in the form of interviews on both television and radio.

At the behest of former Minister Lloyd Axworthy, we met with him and brainstormed creating an online space where Canadians can come to discuss their opinions on the current world refugee crisis.

1918 On The Red
Public relations

1918 On The Red is a property currently in the planning and pre-development phase. They are proposing a wildlife and pedestrian bridge to the University of Manitoba from South St. Vital, allowing wildlife to safely cross the river in addition to students and citizens. We helped gain public interest and support for the project, from the public.

Ambrosia Apothecary
Product Awareness

We worked with Ambrosia Apothecary to generate news releases surrounding their products and current offers. We also encouraged their partnership with the Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival (WAFF) in an effort to benefit both organizations.

As per our contract with SAM, public relations is a key element. We recently had the Life After Stroke Project featured on Global News on both Saturday and Sunday as a part of the program Focus Manitoba.

Public relations and Fundraising, Roll out of Stroke Recovery Month

SAM came to us just before the launch of Stroke Recovery Month as well as one of their new recovery programs. We are working alongside staff and board members to create awareness and generate funds and volunteers for their programming. We are using paid promotions to drive their traffic in the digital space.

The Clinics at Wal-Mart
Digital Marketing Strategy

The clinic inside the Wal-Marts on Kenaston, Taylor, and Fermor, are all locally owned and operated. We wanted to get the word out to create awareness of the clinics and to let people know they are run by their neighbours. We set out to conquer two problems: 1) Perception the clinics were owned by Wal-Mart. 2) The lack of knowledge of the clinics existing inside the Wal-marts.

After reaching a limited audience with newspaper ads, we took the reigns of the advertising effort at Arora Family Chiropractic and brought them into the digital space. They now have videos circulating Facebook targeting athletes, people living near their business, and other demographics who would have a keen interest in using their services.

LAI Group
Summer Soccer Series Event and Fundraising

 

Lloyd Axworthy International (LAI Group) asked us for  project proposal for a fundraising event that would function on two levels. On one hand they wanted an evet to raise funds for inner city athleteic mentorship programs, but on the other, they wanted the event to actually benefit the community. 

The Summer Soccer Series was a day of soccer at the Axworthy Rec Plex that raised lots of money for athletic mentorship, but also provided a free day of soccer and a meal to local refugee families from both Africa and the Middle East. CTV and CBC News came out to cover the day.

James Beddome
MLA/Premier of MB Campaign and Support Materials

 

James made quite a splash in the 2016 Manitoba provincial election. He was the most intelligent and raitional voice of all the candidates, and received overwhelming support from the community. He made the Green party of Manitoba a force, this year.

Paula Havixbeck
Mayoral Campaign and Support Materials

 

During the mayoral race of 2014, we took over Paula Havixbeck's campaign about half way

through the election. We got her in the news, and she fought a long and hard battle.


Our team also put together a video for her to tell her story of why she should be mayor of Winnipeg.

Xue Yong Zhang was running nomination as a candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party in St. Norbert. His campaign consisted of many elements in many areas, such as: pamphlets, photography, news releases, political strategy, and awareness. 

 

We ended up making him some beautiful materials and sent out several pieces to local media and the community.

When this currently sitting MP started his political career, he first ran for mayor in the 2014 mayoral election. We took care of his intro campaign, got him media buzz and awareness.

Omega Garden and Volksgarden
Public Relations and Positioning

 

Omega Garden, creators and distributors of the Volksgarden, a year-round extra green solution to growing large quantities of fresh plants indoors while using minimal resources, have retained RDA Consulting for an extended public relations campaign and social media support. 

 

We're working to increase the awareness of Omega Garden and its innovative technology, throughout North America.

Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert
Video News Release and Fundraiser

 

Every year we put on a fundraiser for Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert. It's a fun event where families are encouraged to bring their dogs out and participate in a day of dog-related activities.

 

This past event we put together a video news release to send out to the media, which was met with an overwhelmingly postive review.

The Kelburn Foundation
Public Relations, Fundraising, and Positioning

 

The Kelburn Foundation is a non-profit agency devoted to promoting mental health awareness, researching the root causes and treatments, and aiding members of the community who cannot afford their own treatment. 

 

We are currently helping launch the foundation and are in the midst of a fundraising campaign for them.

Inner City WesMen Program
Chair and Founder

 

Our president, Bob Axworthy, is the chair, founder, and a coach for the program. It is a non-profit organization that helps train and coach basketballl players in the inner city. It also promotes choosing sport as a safe means of recreation. 

 

The program is one of Bob's passions, and he has been fully committed to his players for over 10 years.

The Thinker's Conference
Special Event

 

The Thinker's Conference was a massive gathering of some of the world's top minds in the subject areas of human rights, technology, and future developments. Its aim was to create new ideas to introduce to communites and politicans with the intent to better the world we leave our children.

 

The event was held at the U of W, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
